Brand Society Chief Creative Officer Mike Rainey has been chosen to judge the 2020 AAF National ADDY Awards. This is the first time a New Orleans ad person has been asked to judge the national show which will feature the best work from 35,000 professional and student entries from local ad clubs nationwide.
In past years, Rainey has judged twelve competitions for local Ad Clubs throughout the country, including the Virgin Islands. In addition, he has served as a judge for the O’Toole Award international competition in NYC.
According to Rainey, “It is a great honor to be asked to participate in these events. I always come away from them inspired, bursting to share what I’ve learned with my team, and with a new appreciation for what I get to do for a living.”
While the judging was supposed to take place in Washington, D.C., the judges will now score the entrants virtually to eliminate any threat of Covid-19. The award show itself is set to take place online on June 26, 2020 at 5 PM ET.
A former partner in Zehnder Communications, Rainey joined Brand Society in March of 2019. He brought with him 20+ years of experience leading and developing teams that deliver data-driven creative solutions across on-line, mobile, social, print, display and broadcast advertising.
