The Acme Oyster House account has a special place in the hearts of the team at Brand Society. The “Life’s More Fun With Seafood” campaign we created in 2015 has been a source of pride for both the client and our agency.
After implementing two multi-media campaigns that established Acme as the quintessential New Orleans oyster house for local families and visitors, it was time to breathe new life into the slogan. Five years ago, we set the bar when it came to seafood restaurant advertising in the city and now it was time to raise it. Our Humor on the Half Shell campaign featuring talking oysters was designed to do just that.
“I thought Mike (Rainey) was crazy when he said he wanted to pitch talking oysters,” said Troy Cox, Managing Partner. “But it ended up easily being one of my favorite pieces of work we’ve ever completed at the firm.”
“We knew Fire on the Bayou could pull it off and they didn’t disappoint,” said Chief Creative Officer Mike Rainey. “Kevin Althans’ direction was brilliant and the whole process was seamless–from collaborating with us technically to figure out a way to make the oysters talk to creating just the right vibe to match the restaurants fun atmosphere.
Mike, Art Director Joel Luna, Copy Chief Lori Archer-Smith and Social Media Director Jennifer Beaver all had a ball working on this campaign. Advertising is more fun with clients like Acme.
